Think there was a whole discussion about this a while back, suggesting it fits into the Anyn Rand view of the world

Watched this with my kids the other day and one question they kept asking was ‘why are they so angry?’. Hadn’t realised but there is a lot of anger in this film. Obviously, it’s often played for laughs but did make me take a second look at the film. Obviously, they still think it’s “totally wicked” and call my Mr…
Seriously, there are so many great stories around King Arthur, how hard is it to mess this up. Think the issue has been either people going for big budget and having to bow to the studios pressure, or they’ve struggled to get the tone right between historic tale and magical aspects, either taking the magical stuff too…
This was a great film - loved the cool English guy, Tom Patterson, right? And the foreign bad guy, Kenneth Watanabe. And we all love Michael Caine. Or maybe he’s just putting memories into my head that I’ve already seen this film.
Fair point. Wasn’t aware that was not a preferred term - but do now. Interesting point - ‘bound’ is a contronym. Can mean tied down and to leap free.
The moment at the end, when they’re off to chase Anna and Tim McInnerny’s Max stops to get his wheelchair-bound wife into the back of the car to join them is one of the most romantic moments in film. Ever.
After Mars Attacks! it did feel like Tim Burton had run out of ideas a bit. Sleepy Hollow was good but just a best of Gothic Burton. Likewise, Big Fish was just his best of kooky Burton. After that it’s almost all parody/Disney Burton-lite stuff.
As a parent who rarely gets to go to the cinema these days, this whole early streaming thing is a dream. If only it wasn’t happening because armageddon.
Really was hoping the final shot would be him sitting on the throne of toilet paper. But guess even celebs can’t get that much.
I’m not sure she has a choice on the matter -not if the Chinese state has their say.
This seems to be getting a much bigger promo push than Onward. And looks considerably better.
Sure i’m not the first on here to note that Tom Hanks is once again in isolation with Wilson
“Pirates of Jumanji”
It’s true
Even not knowing the books, this looks awful. The CGI is terrible, story rote and the lead pretty annoying. I’m sure there’ll be lots of ‘cool’ moments that they’ll build the marketing effort around but when seen in an actual narrative piece of film-making will make little sense and offer no story development or sense…
A little less witty
Witt by name, wit by nature.
Hate to be that guy, but the title here is a bit of a lie, right? The shoot wasn’t ‘hard, hard’ - it was a hard time in his life. He actively says the shoot was the most fulfilling he’s had.
Ecclestone is also already in MCU - but again in prosthetic.
Great show and great performance from Ncuti Gatwa. Watched Schitt’s Creek inbetween seasons 1 and 2 of this and feels like both are massive step forward in gay storytelling - simply in the fact that much of their story is simply straightforward relationship drama.
