Well I think it’s mostly the land owners who want the good ‘ol days so they probably think that the servants should be more grateful for how “good” they were treated. They got to hang out in a big house!

Slight tangent, but somewhat Downton related, one of the reasons I love Bridgerton is that I imagine that’s the era that so many of the wealthy in Downtown want/wanted to recreate, particularly at the beginning of Downton.
