7 years ago I bought a Cruze over a Civic. The interior of the Honda was a plasticy nightmare. My literal first impression of sitting in the Civic was “ugh”.

Even if people didn’t judge me for driving something that look so rice, I still couldn’t drive a car designed to look so aggressive and I know is so slow. I’ve had multiple Civic Si’s and Camry V6's try to race me and they're never actually fast.

The chrome V shaped bar across the Nissan's make them look like Chipmunks. Not to mention their DRLs don't flow at all with the rest of their design. One of the worse corporate faces by far.

It wouldn't for buyers of larger SUVs which average north of $60k. As for smaller crossovers I could see a larger impact based on the demographics.
