Yeah, I’m not convinced that Gita’s doing this here, but there definitely are people who concoct hot takes in order to get clicks, views, etc. That’s what Skip Bayless’s entire career has been about at least since LeBron got drafted into the NBA.

Things go badly no matter what you do, and no matter how much pontificating the episode offers on the nature of free will, the narrative never reaches a satisfying conclusion.

The greatest online scourge is the people who think they deserve a response to their collective outrage, over shit that had exactly nothing to do with them. “Apology culture” is the worst.

I digress, I am just so happy you folks have finally decided to highlight the real issue of “Why is the bill so high” instead of merely “”We must make ‘the wealthy’ pay the bill”

As a healthcare worker, it’s worth noting that the last thing providers, receptionists, medical coders, etc. even want to have to think about is whether a procedure is covered by your insurance, and how much it costs relative to other plans. All of that shit is a gigantic fucking nuisance that gets entirely in the way

I’m really into the idea of container houses, too. I think it’s about there being a hard constraint, and sort of having to work within it.

White people consider every black voter a Democrat lifer so, we learned it from watching you.

I love how you are so obsessed with zero-sum politics that you’ve written every single white person down as a GOP voter. It’s pretty cute.

Bernie Sanders would have won. In fact, pretty much anybody other than Hillary would have stood a better chance than she did. Only Hillary could make a clownish billionaire like Trump seem like a “populist” choice by comparison. Sanders would have been a perfect foil. Hillary is so imperious and self-regarding that

We got the ACA during a time when all Republicans ever did was obstruct.

Let’s not forget Obama had to battle his own party to get that passed, since Rebulicans outright refused to vote for anything. Yhere was nothing to be scared about from Republicans when it came to healthcare.

And any Democratic 2020 candidate who fails to reckon with the shittiness of the party establishment for the past 40 years will not win the general. Hillary ran as Obama 2.0 (i.e. on a “continuing his legacy” platform) and lost. That’s just a fact.

None of that is what is surprising to me. What I still can’t fucking understand after all these years is how so many Americans still support him in spite of all of the above being blatantly obvious to anyone with eyes and ears.

I hate the tiny mobile houses because they are almost always designed to look like miniature versions of normal houses, and the whole look of it just doesn’t translate.

While Tesla owners currently own the gold standard of miles-per-smug, this feels like an emotional backlash to try and knock them down a peg.

Shut your fucking hole, cunt.

In the US, if you’re a full-time, direct gov’t employee (not a contractor), the up-front pay may be lackluster compared to the same work in the private sector many times, but the benefits are genuinely great. And there’s definitely room to climb through pay grades with years of experience. You’ll be well taken care of

Yeah, people are looking at the raw salary/wage compensation and failing to factor in the benefits.

Except for any of those workers who voted for Trump, you can get fucked. You made your bed, it’s about time you have to lie in the same filth the rest of us have been for the last 2 years.

The core difference, though, is that these games decided on a reasonable scope and are now in players’ hands. Each is deep in its own way. Star Citizen is trying to be deep in every way, and I just feel like that design impulse is going to blow up in their face.
