Pelosi should pass the most generous and secure M4A plan ever through the house and then drop it in Mitch’s lap and let him explain an angry American public for the next 2 years why the senate won’t take it up.

Even if Medicare-For-All was passed unanimously by the Congress, Mitch McConnell would refuse to allow it to be voted on in the Senate.
... knowing that the individual mandate was a centerpiece to making the legislation work properly.
That’s okay Jace. You can have your exclusivity and I won’t jump on yet-another-launcher / yet-another-store. I wish your company luck.
Then, please elborate why the Sixers got Butler when 28 other teams didn’t?
Pretty funny you ignore Jimmy Butler.
I don’t care if a person doesn’t have traditional political experience. If they’re right for the job, they will surround themselves with the right people to help them do it. The most important thing is having the right political values, because more than anything else, the president sets the tone and oversees the…
I think the reason why a lot of 76ers takes are negative is because of The Process, and how every Philly fan now predictably thinks it’s a great, successful way to run a sports franchise, but back here in reality, everyone else still understands that it’s a fucking sham if you spend that many years “rebuilding” by…
Stupid, Sweden tried it and it failed.
I agree. He needs out of Philly, and he also probably needs to cut a hefty part of his “team” out of the picture, including his mother. Just clean fucking house on that shit. He’s got his $33 million coming regardless. If he wants a real career in the league, he may need to step it back down a bit, and start a bit…
I know some people are getting a lot of comedy value out of this, but I gotta say, I actually feel really bad for Fultz. Being a kid in that position, with all these people floating around you for years and years predating your expected success, and some of them family members. I mean, it’s like the stories you hear…
Not only that....there’s still an amazing FULL game in the offline mode that will be just as satisfying, if not more than online for some people. I bought this game to get Red Dead 2 and the online mode is a bonus for me.
... and the 2017 tax bill, which repealed the individual mandate.
So long as these purchases remain optional, I’m going to be hard-pressed to see a lot of harm in them (removed of the concerns with kids purchasing them, anyway; that’s an entirely different problem). This is in part because I only rarely feel the need to purchase optional items (hello flying Moogle mount in FF XIV),…
Well yeah, precisely. They’re offering reasons for devs to potentially make the jump. But unless the audience is willing to make the jump with them, I don’t see that mattering. Some devs will die on that hill and go to Epic or Discord in order to “take a stand” against Steam or whatever (I don’t get what they think…
Agreed. I’m not a fan of any new launchers trying to enter the market, while offering no real added benefits, but it’s hilarious to me how fawning the coverage has been for the Epic storefront, and how the coverage of Discord’s launcher is somehow, for no apparent reason, a lot more skeptical and guarded. You can hear…
Consumers don’t care about the revenue split.
Steam isn’t a monopoly and Valve has done not a single thing with it’s massive market share (and, presumably, financial resources) to steer developers off from other distribution avenues. Valve has always been 100% fine with developers putting their games out on GoG, itch.io, or even their own internal platforms.
Isn’t it stunning just how much less fawning the story about Discord’s launcher is (referencing the “yet another launcher” argument right in the title, sort of hand-waving Discord’s slightly better 90% cut for developers) compared to the coverage Epic’s storefront has been receiving from the exact same Kotaku writer?…
Never attribute to malice what can adequately be explained by incompetence.
