You nailed it. That is the most pathetic (and hilarious) aspect of these gate keeping Rick and Morty fans. While the show is high concept, that is just the premise. Beyond the setup there isn’t anything intellectually challenging about Rick and Morty. It is the emotional depth that makes the show a winner.
