We’ve had one since 2016 (in GT trim).  It’s a fantastic car.  It feels great to drive and is plenty quick.  The 3rd row is there when we need it, which is infrequent.  It’s the family car and the road trip car.  Also worth noting is that nothing except for the rear brakes have had issues (replaced both rear calipers).

Torch is right this time, 100%.

The only folks voting nice price are those that have not owned an e39 540.  I have, and it was cleaner than this one, and it was still broken more often than not.

I have one one these, so I’m obviously biased, but this is just too much money. It’s a very nice one for sure, and that engine swap is the perfect choice. I think this is about a $16k car. Maybe up to $20k on a site like BAT.

Honestly, stick with the C8.  I don’t think you are going to get more fun, driveable and “special” than the C8 for $60k...

Congrats on helping put on a great event. I was there in my ‘83 911. I’d only been to one previous Radwood in the Bay Area. PNW was a very different feel. I think for the better; more attainable cars and people.

This is my favorite thing on the internet right more. Keep it going!

I wholeheartedly agree.  Well, first I don’t really think wood belongs in a car at all... but if you are going to put it in a car at least make it real!  Screw plastic “wood” and also “stitching” on a rubber/plastic dash!

I love my e30 sport seats. They are both supportive and comfortable. Also they look great!

Ha. I just got back from a 1500 mile road trip after picking up a 2003 BMW 540i m-sport. As you said, the stars aligned. It’s a fantastic ride.

I am just like Joe. Turning 40, work is a 30 minute bike ride away, also wanted a fun older car. I went way under budget and got a 1992 e30 BMW 325i convertible. It's been an awesome project so far. I ended up selling my newish Mazda 3 and the bimmer is now my daily driver. So far it's only broken down once (coolant

BMW e30. I may be somewhat biased, having just bought the one below.
