There’s zero reason to trade Syndergaard, especially if (and after the Cano/Diaz trade, they are) the Mets are all in on contending this year. As Rosenthal said on Twitter, Tyson Ross got $5.8 million. Syndergaard is going to make less than that this year, and has two more years of team control.
