Beth has an absolutely perfect, straight Canadian accent. It's almost too clean to be modern Toronto - more "old Toronto". Spoken with a beautiful speaking voice, pitched lower than Maslany's other characters' voices - true contralto to Alison's mezzo soprano. I enjoyed hearing her speak. It could be "old CBC".
