Ah, OK.
Ah, OK.
The woman who was eliminated then told us that her big mistake was "not speaking out"! How would that have helped her, when her veal was undercooked? She really, really didn't get it - just a mass of hurt feelings. The judges criticized the lack of communication in that they meant that the *other two members* of her…
They kept calling her "MRS. Lancaster". That means it was her husband who's a Lancaster - who else uses "Mrs."? So why was her sister killed by the piper years before Beth married into the Lancaster family?
Do they now? Cut and dried, then.
"The number of words in the episode names"??
Just silly, then.
Jeez. Todd vdW only just left (it took me a little while to catch up to that) leaving AV Club in your capable hands, and now you're leaving too. AV Club must pay badly (though Todd first moved here from HitFix, no? where Alan Sepinwall took his place - how badly can they pay?). I guess I'll have to check in at Salon.
Speaking of which, doesn't Peter ever have to spend any time in Springfield? Naturally, he'd have an office in Chicago, but doesn't the Governor have to spend any time at all in the state capital? Whenever Alicia or anyone wants to see Peter, all they ever seem to have to do is walk across the street, in Chicago, and…
What's the ironic part?
It's pretty easy to check, you know. Just enter "Tyrian shekel" in Wikipedia and read all about them. Here's one sentence:
I would enjoy a crossover of Sleepy Hollow with Grimm. I know they're on opposite coasts, and opposite networks, but it would be fun if they unearthed a few Wesen here in their meanderings, maybe if the coins turned out to be the same coins as they keep forgetting about in Grimm, and so on.
Send it right back to your iPad, please.
At the moment, she's interesting because she's a normal person (with a bit of an authoritarian streak) who can get in our heroes' way. Eventually (within one or two episodes is my guess) she'll either come around to their side after she has to accept some of the weird goings-on, or she'll turn out to be a plant of…
That wasn't Anna Roosevelt's quip. It was Sara's (FDR's mother).
Not one word, not even a "What Else", about Breathless (miniseries) premiering on PBS Masterpiece Mystery?
Oh, maybe there's another What's On for Sunday. This seemed to be the most recent one on the front page.
Absolutely no mention of Breathless (miniseries) premiering on PBS?
Who the hell is "Eleanor's Acorn Man"? I don't recall this at all.
I think you're right. But I didn't mean that he's picking them in order to mock their accents. It's more that his faux-slick manner is more likely to impress people whose grasp of English is poor so that they see a benefit in having someone who seems to know his way around take charge, without being able to spot his…
I haven't seen season 1 yet, but when I first dipped into this season, I was not aware that it was a (fake-) reality show in that the business people Nathan purports to be helping are real people. I thought it was all scripted. It was still funnier when I dropped in here and learned the truth.
