Not in Oregon. Record low rainfall.

You forget... the North Koreans are a little people.

Wait.. sarcastic?

Remarkable. A month ago, HTC said they'd be streamlining and simplifying their product line. Now they have a phone that has 3 words in the name and 2 of them are acronyms.

Find me a new college grad that knows COBOL, and I'll agree that it's maintainable. Maintainability is about far more than just code readability.

I'm sorry, COBOL doesn't work for any intended purpose because it is completely unmaintainable. No one knows COBOL. It would honestly probably be better to implement the whole system in brainfuck... at least there are still people out there who fiddle around with that still.

It could be worse. It could have all of its software written in COBOL like California's payroll system.

This sounds a lot like the justifications for the TSA. Let me point out the problems with CH's law:

Don't worry, crappy drivers of the world, you can still eat and do makeup and read and have passengers and suck at driving legally, because the drivers test is 10 minutes long and could be completed by a highly functioning monkey.

I don't know if you know what you're talking about. I certainly don't. How would MS encouraging OEMs to increase screen resolution have the exact opposite effect? These companies will do it anyway to keep up with Apple when they refresh their laptop lines to have higher res screens. The stars have been shot.

I noticed most grocery stores stopped selling Beta Carotene a while ago.

Yah. Because turning over the control of the military to contractors has been a good strategy so far.

Why would you ever want companies selling a lower resolution screen rather than a higher one at the same or similar price?

"We only fight wars when our ability to access resources is threatened."

Copying and pasting another response on a different thread.

So you think we'd just sit around and fight honorably until millions or billions were dead on each side...but not use nuclear weapons?

I think "decoupled" gaming is going to be from OnLive. AirPlay and WiDi are just ways of playing on your laptop... on your tv.

That's my point. There would never be a war with a nuclear power because of MAD, or at least not one where anyone should give a flying fart about anti carrier weapons. It would be like having an ice pick in a fight when everyone else brought tanks.

Please list all the occasions where we got in a hot war with a nuclear power.
