Investors would rather sink money into failing ride share companies, than invest money in more frequent bus service or new routes.

You’ve got a problem.

Well, the solution to there being too much traffic is not more cars and more traffic. So I’m not sure what your dream solution would be.

She wasn’t a Jalopnik writer.

The federal tax on gas has not been raised since 1993. Hundreds of billions of dollars are appropriated from other taxes/general revenue.

Your observations are good, mine are not. Sounds fair, and not at all delusional or prejudiced. I’d like to see you produce some stats.

How hilarious that you ask me for stats (I’ve post some elsewhere if you’re not too lazy to seek them out) but for yourself, you just have a claim to having seen every cyclist ever run every stop sign ever. Cute.

Your problem is in your bias. You aren’t familiar enough with cycling or cyclists, you only notice them when they’re doing something wrong. Statistics prove me right when I say motorists break the same laws more frequently. You might not like the attitude that you perceive, but the numbers speak for themselves.

Where do I even start with this fallacy. This is like saying cars travel at 70mph, therefore cars don’t roll through a stop sign at 4mph. You really think everybody but you is a complete idiot. You don’t have to admit you don’t have a clue, it’s already apparent to everybody else.

Wheeling out the personal attacks because you don’t know what you’re talking about? And 20-25mph? You either have no clue what the hell you’re talking about, or you assume me to be a complete idiot.

Literally the exact opposite of what I wrote.

It’s not surprising that you hold cyclists to a much higher standard than you do motorists just for the sake of argument. I drive a car, I know what other people are like on the road - and I know a street of average cyclists would be far less dangerous than a street of average car drivers.

Most adult cyclists also have drivers licenses. And because they bike, they’re far more aware of their surroundings, their situation, weather conditions, etc. than people who don’t bike. It’s the people who don’t bike that are dangerously clueless.

Yeah, blast through those stop signs at 4mph. Which is way more dangerous than a car rolling through at 4mph.

I’m just going to, for fun, point out that one intersection in Chicago equipped with red light cameras caught 19,805 motorists running red lights in a year.

One intersection in Chicago (Cicero and I-55) equipped with red light cameras, caught 19,805 motorists running red lights in one year.

I’m not sure why you would think that, much less what you think it has to do with what I wrote.

I assure you, if you stand at any four way stop sign, 90% of motor vehicles passing through do not come to a full stop. Because it’s fine when a car rolls through at 4mph, but people fill their diapers in rage if a bike rolls through at 4mph.

lol

The real problem is, most people who drive cars suck at driving cars.
