I have no idea why anybody’s upset by opinions Norm MacDonald, of all people, holds.
There’s a difference between putting yourself in danger, and putting others in danger. Apples and oranges.
I’ve never seen the point fly further over somebody’s head.
In a lot of the states, you can’t actually just lift your truck as much as you want legally. But the cops usually don’t care. If they do, it’s because they’ve already pulled you over and are scanning the vehicle code for whatever else they can bust you for while they’re there.
Texas drivers are the worst (and most annoying) I’ve encountered anywhere. Whether it’s people pulling out into traffic without looking (this is the signature Texas move), blocking intersections, or SLOWING DOWN on the on ramp when there is no traffic - it all boggles my mind. How can so many people be so stupid?
things were worse in the 1990's:
When was it decided that a high hood was good for pedestrian safety? It used to be that a low hood was good for ped-safety, since in a collision people would fall onto the car, instead of under it. When/why did this change?
It weighs a lot more than a 250 with a shell on it. We’re talking almost four tons curb weight. The curb weight of the Excusion was almost as much as the gross weight of the current gen Suburban. Which is ludicrous. Nobody with a regular driver’s license should be trusted with a vehicle like that on public roads.
You can stick your head in the sand all you want, doesn’t change that DT’s regime is F’n around with stuff that directly or indirectly will have an effect on the auto industry and the car buying public.
The site was launched prematurely, and very early on they cancelled/disabled several features that would have allowed the site to grow - basically they killed functionality that allowed new users to create groups (tribes) that would have attracted lots of activity, and in the vacuum created by that loss of…
For decades, Ford used a torque tube and some rods to locate the rear axles of their cars, because they use a transverse leaf spring for the rear suspension. This design practically eliminates the possibility of the issues mentioned.
It’s because they are awful vehicles in most major respects. What is there to be confused about?
You have obviously never driven an F10. It is perhaps the least fun car ever made. Find reviews from when it arrived in the U.S. - nobody has much nice to say about it even in an era of Chevettes and Le Cars.
Saab won the passenger car class, of course:
In the 2wd car class, the suspension couldn’t be modified, only reinforced.
Does fedex know actual trains exist?
Range Rover was a little late to the imperialism party I think.
A terrible waste of space that is no fun to drive, bloated, heavy, and failed miserably in the marketplace. And if you were really stupid, you could get it with a gasoline engine, and watch the mileage drop to nil anytime you carried a load or towed something. Great idea right?
Ok, now can you write about how hard it is to get oil that won’t destroy a manual transmission? Almost all “gear oil” today will destroy the synchro rings in a manual gearbox. Go to any auto parts store and look what’s on the shelf, then read the warnings in the fine print. Most stores don’t even have oil that will…
