Sure princess. ;-)

I already had the last (actually reasonable) word in the discussion about ships. Now I’m just gloating to see you whine.

But you still lost. So I’m happy enough.

Thanks for playing.

Well at least you admitted your own arguments are stupid.

You literally just contradicted you own stupid argument. Good job, genius.

It would be an appeal to tradition, if the “tradition” you speak of actually existed. It doesn’t. Navy ships have always been given a variety of names, of places, people, and things, MOST of which have nothing to do with battles.

I don’t know why people keep saying this, when it is patently false. We used to give ships names like Chickadee and Vigor, or even more meaningless names. I guess it just shows the absolute contempt some people have for facts.

You know, you’re making an emotional argument, while criticising people for making emotional arguments.

Neither did your post.

Do you have 1st hand experience with him confirming otherwise?

Ships also get named after states. And cities. And birds. Sometimes they’re just words. Growler. Dominant. Dynamic. Reaper. Vigor.

So you think they’re doing this to appeal to you? Sort of vain thought.

We named a ship Chickadee. And you’re mad about a ship being named after a guy who worked to protect the freedoms of Americans? Because that would be so frivolous? Hmmm. Ok.

Anybody got a confirmed homophobe count yet?

I see you love freedom of expression... as long as it’s only your own.

Saying Milk doesn’t deserve any respect for what he did in public, because of what he did in his personal life, is like saying Calhoun doesn’t deserve scorn for what he did in public, because as a person he was a gentleman. It’s beside the point. What they did for their country is more important than how they acted

We named a submarine after Calhoun, who praised slavery, and whose ideas nearly destroyed the United States, and indirectly caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans. But I guess, in some people’s minds, that’s perfectly ok, since he didn’t have sex with teenagers (well, he probably did, but that’s ok

Very obejctive article from a website that claims Obama is a homosexual. Just shouts CREDIBLE, doesn’t it?
