Nice colour! Here's my old car, had it for almost 10 years. A 2.2 VTEC '93, 4WS, leather interiour. Great car, wonderful engine. Lovely sound with a stainless steel exhaust system.
I have to correct myself, I've had it for four years now.
Yes you can get a good one for under $20k, if you go for a '98-'01, before the facelift. Got a '98 myself and I got it for around $20k three years ago. They are even cheaper today.
Late to the party here, but I just wanted to say that even though we got a perhaps nicer exteriour here in Europe, we also got a more simplified suspension setup in the rear in order to have more interior space. Torsion beam vs double wishbone.
Pure art. I'd have one of those in a display case at home if I ever had the chance to get hold of one.
I'd love to have a rev counter that starts at 5000rpm... so much win
I just love that his first response after being thrown off the bike into a wall seems to be "Hey I messed up the wall, better fix it".
Since most people who get a bike is an enthusiast in one way or another, you can't really go wrong no matter what bikes you choose to write about.
So you didn't even have to chase them, they offed themselves. How convenient!
Came here for this. Really fun concept that actually made it to production. But unfortunately really boring to drive.
I was going to go with something classic french at first (a DS perhaps) but this little beauty I managed to take a picture of earlier this week would be just the right thing.
haha exactly, it was funny seeing peoples reaction when they asked me what car I had and I said a Mercedes and a Jag. The Mercedes was a 1980 W123, and the Jag is a -98 so in total not even half the value of the brand new mid sized cars they themselves owned.
I hear the same kind of remarks from people when they hear that I have a Jaaag. They assume I'm very well off, come with stupid remarks about the cost of such a luxury car, even though they themselves drive new Volvos and Audis that cost 2-3 times more than my old cat. But you get used to it. Haters gonna hate, or…
What people seem to ignore is what a V12, 4WD and 4WS would do to the weight of the car. As it is, it weights just below 1500kg, a lot more than some of the other supercars. (F40 1100kg, F50 1230kg, F1 1100-1150kg). 6 more cylinders and 4WS would add quite a lot to that. So I think Jaguar made the right decision. Not…
Well now we know where he practiced those new moves, although it didn't turn out so well in the big cars.
Well he did drive the car back home so it's not THAT unreliable ;)
Totally agree with you. No extra plastic options, just pure uninterrupted line like Gandini designed it.
I just love reading about your Baja Bug adventures, keep 'em coming!
The Shoot out final at the end was fantastic. What a great mix of cars from different classes and eras. In the above video, skip to 9:27 to see the whole thing.
