That’s probably a 4 cyl non turbo diesel and def from the 70’s-80’s era. My 69’ says 160mph... doesn’t mean it can go that fast but gauges in most german cars read beat over 100. Most are capable of a easy 135mph since most are limited to that. Higher models at limited from 155-200.

Raise the speed limit and you won’t be “speeding” aka drive 80 or so with the flow of traffic

It’s straight cut gear gear noise a which is in most real race cars with sequential Gearboxes. This car is not meant to take to the mall or drive on the street like a Ferrari.

For those questioning the value of this type of car you will spend more money building this type of car and than you willjust flat out purchasing one already finished.

I built my M5 touring a few year ago and let me tell you it looks loud, it is loud and that look on people’s faces when you spank their new SrT chargers because they were smoked by a wagon. Priceless

As I did the swap myself I opted to not do any M5 interior bits since the rear seats will not match the fronts. That was personal preference and if I were to swap out the whole dashboard and everything it won’t match anything in the car

I personally didn’t do the whole body harness swap on mine because wiring isn’t an issue. I could have but it would’ve been a waste of time because none of the wagon amenities would’ve worked properly like the trunk and that would’ve had to wire up all the rear trunk related Things. It just didn’t make sense. Part of

Both the 6 cylinder and the 8 cylinder an eight cylinder have their own set of issues especially the earlier m52tu. I haven’t checked the Vin number versus if the car is truly a built manual from the factory but everyone of the manual ones I have seen in wagon form have been post facelift and a 525i. For those

This is why you get prices like $4500 because you pay for experience and knowledge with these shops.
