These are of course the reaction of a journalist; not of a blogger.

PREACH. I’m 28 and wouldn’t post this garbage hot take.
This can’t be said enough. We’ve voiced our displeasure at myopic, click-bait, edge-lord articles by nearly everyone at Splinter. I can think of specific moments where HamNo, Rafi and Katherine have posted some really terrible, half-baked shit and I’ve let them know. The fact that Libby is a young woman has fuckall to…
I think the word you were looking for was paternalistic, to the best of my knowledge child does not relate to gender.
I thought you guys were just bloggers, though.
“Is Professional”
The rare feat of getting a Gawker writer to be a pariah in the usually fawning comments of their own blog. Congrats, you punctured the echo chamber.
Barack Obama: got himself elected President. TWICE.
Woman gets called out. Can’t defend her position. Play gender card! You’d do well over at the Root.
Libby, you do a great job, but please understand we are in a *very* unique moment where purity politics need to go sit in a fucking corner. President Obama knows this better than anyone, given he was obstructed, in part, due to people not voting because “uninspired”.
Not when that 28-year-old journalist is spouting the political opinions of a 15-year-old.
The day when Splinter understands more about the world of politics than Obama will be the day Trump is chosen as DSA president.
I mean, it’s usually a good internet comment section finishing move, to call someone a racist or sexist. You just have to have some kind of realistic basis to ground it in before it can take hold or, as Libby did here, it backfires and you expose yourself as every bit the jackass you’ve been accused of being.
Can’t wait for the Root article to come out and roast this bitch. +1 if it’s Michael Harriot.
Please point out the sexist part of the comment.
You just made things so much worse.
Nope, sorry, not sexist. And I’d be the first to call it that if it was.
I wish I could give you a bunch of stars because your original comment is utterly and completely gender neutral. Hopefully one day she will learn that pulling out the sexist card in such a manner is very harmful.
Ageist? Maybe, though an understandable mistake based on your childish blog posts. Sexist? That’s you projecting. Journalist? Not even close.
Acting like a child isn’t a gendered quality. Nice try, child.
