There’s nothing wrong with this article, except your attitude in the comment section. I’m generally something of a caustic shithead myself. So as an expert on the subject, you’re mom.

Big time.

I actually got nostalgic about the mall looking like it was on its last legs the other day.

The store inventory things on the website are invariably just wishful thinking. We needed a standing heater unit a while back, checked the Wal-Mart store website, said there was one in store, ordered it for hold, and drove over there, only to find a sad guy in the hold section saying “Yeah, we told the system to

We have lived in our home for 8 year and I finally finished my basement remodel which means I can finally unpack boxes that haven’t been unpacked in several moves and the amount of useless crap I’m finding hurts.

I know how you feel. Apparently it’s not in “good taste” to say Elon will be first against the wall when the revolution comes.

I think Toys R Us was one of those stores that investment groups purposely killed to offload debt. Gamestop was going the same route until the whole meme stock thing.

I think it’s location dependent: I shop at Targets in various locations fairly often, and they always feel pretty active. Maybe the one in your area is not doing great.

It’s not that nobody has figured it out.

Remember when you went into a store and you could just feel that the store was dying? If you are really old you felt this way entering a Sears. Then it was Toys R Us. If you are only slightly old, maybe you went into a Circuit City post 2005? Anyway, I think you all know that feeling. You can just tell.

I can’t even watch that video once. Is YouTube broken for anyone else, or just me? It pauses every 3 seconds.

Yea, I remember working at autozone around 2015. We were still using ancient computers with black and green screens. It was embarrassingly terrible.

Now playing

Anyone who thinks killing the ultra wealthy is too harsh is entitled to their opinion. However, they should watch this video three times in a row and see if they’ve changed their mind.

No, I’m pretty sure we could solve a large number of issues if we parked a guillotine outside of every gated community.

It’s 2023 and nobody has figured out how to have real-time inventory checks that work both online and on-prem. Meanwhile every application I’ve seen that tries to alleviate the shortcomings in a company’s ERP system is immediately fucked on day one and will be forever fucked even after the company invests in another

Everyone says this, but the moment I suggest dragging billionaires into the streets for public executions, suddenly *I* ruined Thanksgiving dinner.

What you WANT to do is raise capital gains taxes!

Honestly given how many loopholes there are (such as stepped up basis), they often don’t pay at all. Nonetheless you’re right to a degree - while short term gains are taxed as income, long term ones aren’t. I wouldn’t really object to changing that though.

Honestly, I agree with you, but I think the solution is a lot more direct - make it illegal and the companies responsibility as far as things like fakes and lack of service you paid for (something that should’ve been true in the first place).

This pandemic revealed how much work is done by individuals showing up to do their job.

I stopped buying. Seriously, we all buy too much junk—stuff we are never going to wear or use. (I just got done bagging a bunch of old clothes to give to charity) — Now all I want is a controller + a few clothing items + toiletries + a few tools a gym subscription and that’s IT! I don’t want any more STUFF! I will
