I read a couple of those articles about how Prestige TV is now Not Really Good. I don't think that applies to Fargo though, I LOVED the first two seasons. I kind of flip between which season I prefer, too. Both so compelling and satisfying.

I thought this was a great comment! Although I don't feel your (totally reasonable) compliments regarding season 2 really apply to season 3 (at this point). 3 seems to have a lot of the elements you mention, just done weaker than before.

I got in contact with AV Club about this, but apparently they chose not to cover it: an Australian comedy podcast network called Planet Broadcasting launched a couple of weeks ago, spearheaded by The Weekly Planet. There's a heap of really good comedy podcasts on there, including one about videogames I co-host. All

I got into Fables after TWAU too, and I think the game is actually better-written than the comics.

Batman starts okay and becomes great! I can't recommend it enough, especially if you like The Wolf Among Us (mystery-solving stuff). The story in Batman is actually interesting and a departure from a lot of Batman mythos, so it's not as stale as it appears at first.

Firewatch was my second favourite game of the year (FFXV's very specific brand of expansive weirdness got me, as well as the nostalgia for Final Fantasys-past). I absolutely love it.

If you like The Wolf Among Us, you'll like Firewatch and Inside. They're two of the best games of the past few years, so give them a go first.

I honestly thought they just put a bit more makeup on them. Didn't look odd at all. Maybe my eyes are dumb?

Slow West and Haywire are fantastic movies, ya dingus!

Haha, definitely me too!

I have to largely disagree with the review. I found the attempts at "cinematic" storytelling to be jarring, the gameplay weak and dated in every case, and the racial politics shallow. Even moreso, the superficial and thoughtless use of incredibly well known 60s songs betrayed the generally uninspired design choices.

I disagree, the gunplay, traversal and driving mechanics all feel weightless and dated.
