The Sims 2 to this day has the best expansion packs of the entire series. This is the - original - Maxis at its peak. Cleverly designed, intertwining, deep gameplay concepts the series would never see again.

Something like “Open for Business” that basically lets you sell everything in the game from selfmade cake to

Injustice 2 was a fun game at its core but the prospect of grinding through hours of boring repetitive content in order to get rng loot boxes or outright buy overpriced premium currency was about to ruin my experience.

I did something like this with Warcraft 3's Map Editor.

I wrote this under a previous article about FO76 but this seems to underline my essential thesis:

Absolutely.

Having slurs on street art in a dystopian futuristic setting is problematic ... but portraying an idealized version of the NYPD in Spider-Man PS4 is problematic as well?

Sooo ... the connected DC Cinematic Universe is dead, right?

Which would actually be wonderful. I’d love to see Warner Bros. doing the exact oposite of what Disney does and deliver us interesting character/franchise-centric movies.

How about ...

Gilneans can be druids too.

That would be a nice thing for a Mc Donald’s/Nintendo campaign ... an actual burger shaped game boy /classic/colour/advance that parents could buy for their kids at a reasonably low price while the games themselves would come with the Happy Meals.

Isn’t Funcom working on another Conan game too?

There are already three game modes with respawn in Fortnite.

Sorry for the typos btw. I’m not a native speaker (though a rather competent one I’d hope) and wrote this from my phone.

How about a Fire Emblem Heroes/Warriors: Empires?

They seem to have absolutely no idea what makes this game so boring.

Now that I think about it ... Ice Crown Citadel was split between both factions on a few instances.

And yeah ... crafting lore around game mechanics or things you want to do in your game is pretty much what’s been happening since World of Warcraft launched.

As soon as game become ongoing service games the lore starts to

“but actress Ellen Page, who spit fire over the current administration earlier this month”

I came here to joke on that exact sentence.

Well an anniversary would surely be a great time for a different publisher to take the basic concept of the series and evolve or at least bring it back to previous levels of depth and gameplay quality.

Oh I didn’t mean to say that bundles wouldn’t work. I myself would probably buy some of those.

I am still curious how this system could replace current lootboxes in the long run.

It doesn’t really make sense for lootboxes that contain skins, mounts and all those things - especially the ones that are produced and added to the game post-launch to keep the same “low” price.

So if this system is going to replace
