What’s so hilarious about these “doomsday” anti-Uber articles by Jalopnik is that you would NEVER know any of this was going on as a normal customer. I live in San Diego where Uber is extremely popular, I have friends who drive for them and I have never once heard a complaint from any of them, or the drivers that have

The Dodge Diplomat holds a special place in my heart. My father bought a number of retired police Dodge Diplomats that he fixed up and sold after driving them for a bit.

Why the hell are we pissing and moaning about violation of a law that restricts us from using vehicle engines that get twice the fuel economy of a gasoline burning engine, and far more torque???

What’s different is that Fiat cooperated with the EPA, while VW tried to fool the EPA. Furthermore, the Chrysler vehicles in question have the technology to meet emissions standards (unlike the VW engines in question, half of which didn’t even have urea injection and the rest had so little urea in their urea tanks

Except manuf have been doing that. They’re implementing rail systems in the beds for tie downs (among other things) and payload capacity is as high as it’s ever been.

Then you’ll be happy to see that torque went up and came in at lower RPMs on several engines and the gearbox was improved...again...not sure what you are all complaining about, this is one of the most ridiculous comment threads on this site right now.

Jesus.

Do it in a PT Cruiser Turbo.

I can confirm that stupidly high speeds are possible on 130. I can also tell you that the pavement really isn’t smooth enough for a top speed run. At least not in my Mustang...

And if you’re ready to dodge deer.

What isn’t the issue with Goddamn Millennials?

The worst one I saw featured a 15-passenger Dodge van with a 360 Magnum. It fought like a beast for twenty solid minutes of high revs, alternated with back-lot hoonery. The whole time, I marveled at the bravery exhibited by a mechanical object plainly stating, “I AIN’T GOING OUT LIKE THAT!” Yes, I said bravery. It was

Reluctantly starred. I watched dozens of the C4C videos on YouTube, and thought to myself, “My God, these are automotive snuff films.”

You better be talking about the “leaning tower of power”.

Funny, I have a ‘00 Dakota my dad bought brand new in ‘99 and the only reason he bought a new truck is because I took the Dak from him. It’s been around longer than any other car our family has had and it runs like a top for being an 18yo truck from Jalopnik’s Most Hated Car Company(tm).

For 84 barrels of spilled oil on undeveloped land, that amount is a rounding error on Energy Transfer Partners’s income statement.

You need something to support the baseload over night and to meet demand peaks.

Which pipeline?

84 gallons? Ridiculous. Far More environmental impact in transporting the same amount of oil by rail.

People are getting all excited about 84 gallons? People need hobbies. You do realize that on a regular basis oil tankerand fuel trucks are driving around the country with north of 10,000 gallons. Sometime they have accidents and leak some. This happens....just about all the time, but because it happened 100 miles from
