I took the girl I went to senior prom with to see Dragonball Evolution at the dollar theater the week before our prom. It was the worst dollar I ever spent.

I think Chuck wanted Ernesto to hear the tape. He's pulling a long con to intimidate Ernesto into thinking that he'll get in legal trouble if he doesn't tell the police Jimmy really was at the copy shop, because unlike the tape, Ernesto's testimony would be admissible evidence in a court case.

Aside from the sexual innuendo, this episode struck me as a thoughtful, playful exploration of the concept of God in general. Is the relationship between an artist and his/her art the closest thing in the physical world to the God/creation archetype? pretty heady stuff for a kid's show, as usual.

i think that's because she wasn't a vampire in this timeline, she was only half-human-half demon. apparently demons aren't ageless like vampires?

I loved this episode. It was, for the most part, witty and understated. The exuberant Dr. Seuss parts were a great tonal contrast to the rest of the episode and I agree with the reviewer's analysis of why the rhyming sequences worked so well. i appreciate that they targeted not only the liars we revere, but also the

foremost i think the fact that he gets a visible cut is probably important. PB or Jake might be faced with a fake Finn in the next episode, considering we're dealing with alternate dimensions - it'll distinguish him from a counterpart.

i know, i'm probably overthinking, but i'm in a mood to overanalyze children's television and this doesn't come over me often, so i'm seizing the moment

oh, i don't read the comics so i didn't know that last one. but yeah i certainly would also consider the first two things you said to be part of that subtext…but to be fair, they don't directly imply a relationship, as both of those things could also just imply a deep friendship gone sour. i think it will probably be

I doubt the creators will ever touch on this in the show, because it's pretty irrelevant, but I've always felt the vibe that Marceline has a thing for Bubblegum. the way she antagonizes her seems just a little bit…"off?"

nah, Simon was Marceline's father figure, not her lover. Plus, Ice King and Marceline are both hundreds (thousands? i forget) of years old, and Ice King's been crazy for most of that time. Finn's only 13, i doubt marceline would have had an insane wizard's kid only 13 years ago and forgotten about it.
