I agree - they do incredible work, although I must admit that this morning’s string of breathless Scorpio previews (and the fact that Microsoft paid for their trip) made me raise an eyebrow.
Unless you are really gunning for Splatoon 2 or any of the indies coming this spring/summer, probably no harm in waiting till Mario comes to get a Switch, especially since there might be a better deal or pack-in by that point.
Lesson of the day: don’t answer questions that haven’t been asked.
It’s a $300 pseudo home console with no LAN support out of the box, only wifi. a USB LAN adapter is needed, but only third party ones are available apparently.
I’m a long-term Nintendo defender, and I still love them, but man they just don’t get it. They haven’t learned a fucking thing. I was under the impression this would be the system where they finally decided to grow up a little and act like professionals...just a little. But nope; same old Nintendo antics.
Ugh, didn’t even notice that. That and $300 instead of $250 are the real issues I’m seeing here.
Nintendo is crazy for not bundling this for free. How many people are actually excited to get this at launch, seriously?
You bought a console for a game without a release date?
For god sakes even Samuel L. Jackson came off as a boring idiot in those films......You have to be some special kind of crap writer/director to pull that off.
I disliked Christensen for years because of his portrayal of Anakin.......But I eventually realized he wasn’t at fault. He was just some young actor who was at the mercy of George Lucas fucking horseshit dialogue and directing. Sure he had all the range of a piece of wood and the scenes where he was supposed to be the…
Here’s to hoping Kylo Ren doesn’t follow that path.
For me, I’d have rather have us first meet Anakin when he was older and have him be a cocky pilot who was seduced by the power of the Dark Side. Fits better with evil Vader. I’ll have to watch what you suggested.
I don’t think any decent director would really want to touch that. The Star Wars universe is really expanding right now so I don’t see why Disney and Lucasfilms would want to go backwards like that.
I always thought “The Clone Wars” animated TV show did a better job of Anakin’s character than the prequels. It makes the eventual turn to the dark side seem less teenage angst and more a series of tragic events over years resulting in the eventual decline.
I’ve said it a million times: Star Wars would be infinitely better if the prequels had given Anakin Skywalker Darth Revan’s backstory instead. Reaching out for the power to do good and bring peace, and then being corrupted by that power.
That’s why the prequels sucked — Anakin was manipulated into the dark side. I’d much rather have seen him seduced, the way Obi-Wan and Yoda described it. Would’ve made those movies better.
