So my previous job had me driving these (both the Taurus interceptor and Explorer Interceptor) in their pre-production phase, i always liked driving the Taurus variant better. Sadly never got the chance to drive a p71 to be able to know how it compared.

Lets not forget that reskinned Five Hundred is on a Volvo platform that wasn’t exactly new to begin with.

At least for me taking a bus pretty much anywhere is a waste of time. Like going to work takes me around an hour, a bus would take much longer, if it even is possible. A train for me wouldn’t even be an option and a bicycle is out of the question.

While yes i agree it would make more sense than the electric mustang hatchback thing. The E-150 is out of production yes, but guess what, the E-450 is still a thing, and actually recently got some updates even. (Note that it is not a van but i believe more of a cab chassis). So naming the electric f-150 the e-150

That is a tempting one won't lie. If it had the turbo as well, it'd be in my driveway.

Its a 2.5l the 2.2l was phased in minivans about mid 1987.

I knew the 62TE was but i thought it was changed to a ZF transaxle at some point.

As i recall the a604 (as it was originally designated, later being called the 41te) could only be had with the 3.3l v6. And even then i believe that was only in 1990 vans. Chrysler derived a bunch of their automatics off of the 41TE. (Seriously if you had a Chrysler with a 4 spd auto it was somehow or another derived

I'd love to say i bought it, but i also did not. Rather have it with a turbo and the ES trim level.

I can personally attest to their comfyness as i took the drivers seat out of a 90 Caravan and use it as my home office chair.

I don't think it was an on the fly solution as the vans debuted with either the automatic or manual. Plus the manual used was a Chrysler unit from the K-car. The lwb vans didn't debut until 1988 IIRC.

A quick Google check will tell you why they wouldn’t go with E-150.

Yes i do, how did you know?

And remember to wear Dat-sun block too, as exposure to it for too long can cause skin cancer.

Nah no one would watch a YouTube channel on your poor car buying decisions and showing everything wrong with them.

Its high 10s now? Last i saw it was low 11s.

I’d rather an Alfa, even if it strands me on the road more often. At least its good looking.

Note that if you find yourself being chased by a Bravada you can toss a jug of oil, trans fluid, or coolant towards it and this will get its attention long enough so you can get away.

Agreed 100%. Herbie specifically has had something like 6 of its own movies as well as at least one TV series that i can think of.

It drives like no other on the earth because its so big, what you think are small mounds are actually mountains.
