So many of cars with that, ha! My personal favorite is always “ran when parked”...

I kind of love the attempted justification of the slushbox:

I was waiting to pipe in the same. The W8 is a camry (ok, maybe more like a 10 year old former rental car Malibu) compared to the V10 TDI. I still own one and just in the last 6 months it’s cost me $4280 (failed center drive shaft bearing, failed glow plug and had all 10 replaced).

Agreed. I have a full whopping 1 day on the track. I watched guys with 944's, 928's, several Bimmers, Mustangs, other sports cars changing out pads before we started the actual track work.

Admittedly biased opinion, but if you haven’t driven one, DO IT! I really didn’t get what was special about Porsche until I drove one. That car just happened to be a ‘99 996 that I ended up buying. Do your homework, get a PPI, do the PM work, and enjoy. I’ve had it for 7 years and I still love it.

I’m going to guess you’ve never been skiing. That video is taken from above so with the angle it’s hard to tell height from the video, but even given the benefit of the doubt we’ll say 12ft, though it’s likely more than that. Go stand on a roof and jump onto hard ground. Doesn’t sound like a good idea does it? Now add

They aren’t working hard, but I’m concerned about oil flow. Maybe I’m just paranoid but having already had both turbos replaced I’d really not want to go through that again.

It’s a VW, specifically a V10 TDI Touareg, and that’s a great suggestion. I have used that, but don’t always have some on hand. I don’t have a commute any longer so I’m not always stocked.

Interesting point on the manual. I have to ask if it said not to warm it up, or if it wasn’t necessary? This is a TDI and I know I checked the manual when I got it but that was over 5 years ago. I’ll have to check again. If it said it wasn’t necessary I would agree with Torch’s article.

Everyone has their own scale but MN diesel driver here. Under 20F doesn’t even count as cold (... questioning why I live here)... Now -20F, before windchill, you really have to adjust your routine. You absolutely have to warm up a diesel at that temp. Mine’s a 2007 and it starts easy but runs very rough for at least 5

Probably the same intern that put this banner ad together. I read an article on the C7 on MSN but I believe the source was from USA Today:

As long as this “money” isn’t Bitcoin, I give it better odds than a gerbil in a bat house.

The issue is not whether or not BTC is money, it’s the astronomical inflated value. People are NOT using it as money they are buying on speculation that it will go up and artificially driving the price higher. The more it goes up the more people buy in. This is the bigger fool theory and exactly what happened in the

Non pilot here, and I completely agree on the marketing. It really pushes to make it look like ‘just another toy’. I remember one ad my parents gave to me cut out from a magazine showing a rendered image of an obviously wealthy guy hosing down his A5 neatly folded up, next to two jet skis on a trailer, with an ATV off

Keep in mind the 8% is over 1998 (1999 model years of course) through 2005 and covers multiple version of this engine. The ‘99 and ‘00 M96 were excluded from the lawsuit. Some say this was due to the cars being older, some say the engines were more robust. Those years do have a double row bearing instead of the later

Anybody else think the new silverback AT-AT cockpit kinda looks like a Centurion Cylon from Battlestar Galactica?

Wow, that’s a terrible idea. Can I buy and make it a 3 way split??

Interesting. I generally find cat people to be aloof, arrogant, and a stick in the mud. Not worth my time. Why would anyone love an animal that clearly hates them?

I haven’t been able to get a picture of it in the wild but someone in MN actually bought and drives a Nissan Murano Crosscabriolet. It’s white so this stock image pretty closely matches it. I’ve seen it more than once as the first time I saw it I wasn’t sure I’d actually seen one.

While I completely agree, this is for a different kind of person. I didn’t understand it at all until recently because I’m an admitted self indulgent dick head.
