I remember

The fans are not god. The algorithm is. If you pull up Spotify and listen to a song he produced they’ll play a dozen more songs he produced because that must be something you like. And why not? Most of his songs are paint by numbers pablum churned out quickly as content. It all sounds pretty same-y.

This isn’t dissimilar to Reagan learning about the dangers of our lack of cyber security after watching War Games.

I have two kids. One I put through college, the other I put through a wall. But I love ‘em both.

I remember this movie and love it dearly though that might be mostly nostalgia.

This is going to give me King’s Quest III flashbacks.

I mean for me, which matters less than zero (thanks, Elvis), a little bit of acknowledgement goes a long way.

I was listening to a radio show the other day that played snippets of both songs and it was pretty stark. Listen, I get that there are only so many chord changes and structures but to play it at the same tempo and inject the same mood is enough to make one blush.

Mrs. Lantern and I watched this show based on the trailer for the season and we burned through it in a couple of days. Ronald does come across as such a good person we kept getting amazed that he never fell below being graceful in the face of these weird scenarios and people. Well worth the watch.

Just watched episode one last night and I am excited about this. Mrs. Lantern is by far a bigger musical fan and I was pulled into watching the first season and enjoyed it without the connection she had to those older shows. I’m more familiar with the musicals this season will reference and looking forward to how it

I enjoyed White Noise (which has a pretty central theme about the grocery store as the true church of American Capitalism) but my wife didn’t really enjoy it so you might be correct.

Thanks! The multiple man, iron fist, hulk buster just worked perfectly.

Growing up my parents wanted me to take piano and my only reference point was Elton John. And listen...Elton has some great songs but I wouldn’t say his mid-80s persona was exactly considered cool to teenagers what with his dressing up like Donald Duck and only knowing songs like Crocodile Rock and Candle in the Wind.

Wasn’t photogenic” = “won’t let me take nudes of her”

They’re going to turn them all into NFTs in the Metaverse and quintuple their money.

Listen: Miles Morales has come unstuck in time and space.

Nehi Soda? It’s a crummy commercial.

BIP!

Doom Patrol starts out very dour. My wife was committed to it from the start and made me power through and I’m glad I did. Once the series got past establishing the characters and why they are all so miserable they’ve gotten to get weird and the show is much better for that. Those initial episodes were a slog.
