I’m so proud of Hyundai. In a short period of time they went from being the brand known for cheap cars and long warranties to taking Ferrari on at their own game. This is the kind of success story they’ll be teaching in business classes for decades.

That’s fashion for you!

No, foolish is to ask “Why wasn’t there a kid lying in the ground under that ring writhing in pain?”

Is there a ZAZ-968 version of this?

I don’t hate the redesign, but it looks less Art Deco and more like the 4 Non Blondes tour bus. I could see it in a steampunk themed video game.

There are some things you simply don’t do as a profit-making enterprise. Curating and restoring ancient oddball cars no one wants is one of them.

That’s the current MSRP, you dingus.

“Know how to use Google” LMAO, that’s my article. I tested the 2021 Slingshot. A six-year-old one with a worse engine for only slightly less is a bad buy.

In this case it does. Here it demonstrates just how overpriced this thing is.

Man, it’s a shame this was hot rodded. I would have loved to see this in all its original glory. I love me a good ol hot rod but something like this is just a damn shame.

Buy a 2021 for $2500 more.

I mean, this thing looks awesome, but I kind of have to question the builder’s decision. If only 3 of these things were made, that makes this an incredibly rare vehicle that I think a solid argument could be made for keeping original.

Back before COVID, there was a group of middle-aged men who would show up in several of these near Times Square and I would see them at least once a week on my walk home. They were exactly the types of dudes you would expect to see driving Slingshots - blasting loud crappy music, wearing graphic print Tees,

Looks like something will.i.am would make.

holy shit what is that thing

I agree. I never really understood these. You get the bulk & performance of a car, but the usability of a motorcycle. Just get a used Miata/Z4/TT/Mustang/Solstice/convertible of your choice and have something you can drive whenever you want.

These things are fun but really really limited real-world use. My daughter and SIL were considering this (they’re also bikers) and instead got a sweet BMW Z4 convertible for half this price. They can be open-air whenever they want, but still drive all 4 seasons. The Slingshot, not so much. No Dice for most people,

If it happened to be an actual Porsche shell, it still wouldn’t be worth $35k in its current condition. It’s a glass shell made by a kit car manufacturer. I’m betting the owner is only listing it to placate a spouse.

Mine loved his R-I-D-Es more than people food. I miss him every day.

Noooooooope.

This car has identity issues. I mean, chrome and leather straps on the hood but an interior that looks like your friend’s stripped out Civic “racecar.” Ooooh, that’s some fine, fine eBay carbon fiber. I will say the over-fenders appear to have been nicely done but that’s just opens more questions.  This

Build your kit car. Enjoy your kit car. Eventually take your kit car to a salvage yard.
