Yeah, there’s a truckload of armor-all on the whole car...

Turns out we were using the life span of a fruit fly as the metric. Our bad!
Starred for the “Vogue” line.
I thought the same thing. I have been an amateur photographer for a while, but these are real bad. And lots of “10-12 footers” with lens flare and weird shadows etc. I feel like they are meant to paint the car in a much better light than reality.
On one hand, I think you’re shooting low in the price, this is more than a $3,500 car, GTIs are becoming more in demand.
Hell...”Nice wheels” in this case are a 1k deduction.
This was pretty pant spoiling. Skip to 5:45
I was going to complain about winter driving in the Rockies, but minefields and any country you can describe as “prerevolutionary” kinda puts my problems in context. Have a star and a “congrats on surviving!”
Stop dwelling on it and just order one already.
You win. No one should be able to top landmines.
The minefield between Mauritania and Morocco / Western Sahara is quite tense the first time you drive through it. Stay on the soft sand - if you think you see a road surface, that’s more likely to have landmines.
Agree. I voted ND, but I don’t think it is that far off. If more of issues here were sorted, then $8,000 would be an appropriate price.
All these things are easily addressed. Just not after paying $8k.
Yeah, the pictures, while many of them, are bad. Bad lighting, bad resolution, bad angles. This guy’s hiding a lot from us. He’s been upfront about the stuff that he knows we will find within the first 30 seconds of looking at the car, but I bet he’s being deceptive about many other things.
That shift knob is the OEM standard knob...
Nice wheels don’t make a tired $3,000 car into an $8,000 car.
The Neuspeed stuff and the wheels are an interesting reminder of my time as a Volkswagen enthusiast, but for the asking price this one needs to be a lot more original and in better condition. That interior is a hot red mess with mismatched colors, the poorly retrimmed Recaros and the Scirocco steering wheel, combined…
I could see $3500, maybe $4000. It’s tired, and it needs a lot of work.
I recently learned that many people had vacuum cleaners before they had cars.
That’s wild. Along the same lines for the “You won’t believe when it happened” Department, when was the electric motor patented?
