Not just the mismatched parts but “no test-drives”. Really? You have a nineties era GM here - not a Ferrari.

Yeah, the Highlander is just a tax for people easily embarrassed. If you want “not minivan”, then learn to live without a 3rd row. If you need the 3rd row.... just man up with the minivan.
I think you (and others) are right about the damage. Pretty sure it’s not a fake, but then again this place doesn’t seem like the kind of place that truly cares about the pedigree of cars (based on reviews).
So the car is whole at auction with 8074 miles. Mileage as of today....
Exactly! The lack of the stripes was enough to be suspect, only a few pics looked at and it’s clear something happened
Yup. As soon as I saw the first pic my thought was “this car has been wrecked.”
I used to hate minivans until I drove one. The drivers seat is great. They have all sorts of tech toys. The v6 in the Sienna isn’t a dog. Tons of space inside. It’s a pasty overweight suburban dad’s dream. That’s kinda my demographic presently.
Because nobody would ever fake paperwork to inflate the price of a car...
LS1Tech is full of stories about folks selling stolen cars with faked VIN#s and stickers. Without a proper inspection, paperwork is barely worth the paper it’s printed on.
At the very least, the whole front end isn’t right, and if that paper work…
Preach brother. When I looked at a Sienna, the salesguy was hot to get me to test drive a highlander. “You’ll like this better.” No, guy, I won’t like it better. If I wanted a highlander I’d tell you I’d like to test one. I’m not paying more money for less vehicle. Bring me a minivan or I leave.
1st Gear: Yes, car makers are making too many cars, but not just that, they are making too many of the same car.
Yup. Carfax generally doesn’t mean jack but they can tell a little bit of a story. There have been several “clean” Carfax vehicles I’ve seen in person and it’s very obvious that they were involved in a wreck. Even some of the “decent” hidden damage vehicles had uneven body/trim alignment. If they don’t file a police…
I grew up with that generation, so to me that one is far better looking than the later model. It has a certain brutish appeal. I remember when the F-Body came out and at first I thought it looked so futuristic, but I quickly soured on it.
The resemblance is a bit unsettling.
Good eye. I didn’t even get past the obviously fucked hood/stripes, insta-fuckery right there.
That explains the buy it before you drive it thingy. Maybe they will let you test drive it after verifying that you have the money, but that combined with the odd stuff going on under the hood makes me think they are looking for a sucker.
This has the wrong intake for the SS as well - it should be a functional ram-air intake through that scoop. Maybe it had major front-end damage and they couldn’t find all the proper parts and/or it’s a fake - aftermarket added body kits and no proper SS package components.
Honestly, looks more like a Z-28 someone…
The hood adjustment bumpers are missing.
I noticed the same. This car is very sketchy.
Holy collision damage Batman!
Hey, where did the rest of the white stripes go? Are they still on the smashed hood? The couple of examples of this model I have seen both had a black grille with no stripes. Front end damage perhaps? CP because of the mystery.
