There’s a difference between keeping your car maintained, and fixing unforeseen damage, bro. You plan to keep your car in pretty good shape, bro. You plan to keep it running, bro. You plan to keep oil from leaking and rust from forming and tires from deflating, bro. You figure those costs in where you can, bro.

That dentdoesn’t make his car shitty. The reality here is that this is used to fuck over tenants. They know cars get dented, however here, they likely have an agreement with the tow company that gets them a cut of the tow/storage, if the tenant is late on rent because of their car being taken, they get late fees. If

OMG, that’s hilarious. Hilarious because it’s true!

And sadly, I’d rather buy a new Camry than this.

“Good Condition” is very subjective and the language of the contract is ambiguous. When contracts contain language that is ambiguous, the party that did not draft the contract language has the leverage.

are you able to get your tongue all the way up to the upper intestine or does it get stuck in the lower?

Its a thing now for complexes and neighborhoods (aka bitch ass HOA’s) to have stupid shit in their rules. From trash cans not being out so far to stuff like this. On one hand I get it. Who wants to drive through and see cars sitting on bricks, spiderwebs under them etc. A lot of people use car ports in complexes as

It hurts me so much that this is now true.

...I should probably add the caveat that I’m playing the devil’s advocate a little bit here. I would not spend $121,000 on a Supra. I would buy 100 cheaper cars. Or a desert shack in Baja.

Objectively, of course it’s a Bad Deal. You could buy a lot more performance and technology for $121,000.

I think it also correlates strongly to reliability. I own a Toyota Sienna because it meets my needs, is reliable and should last a long time, so my investment into that vehicle goes much, much further than ‘average’ brands.  Once you need a van, utility and reliability fits the bill

Honda and Toyota build some of the most reliable vehicles on the road.

Yeah that’s insane... no way in fucking HELL would I buy a car without driving the EXACT CAR first. I always buy used, but same deal with new. The closest I did was a PRETTY SURE drive to Houston (1,050 miles) to get a Miata, which is always the answer, but I was prepared to drive home empty handed if I hated it (I

Yeah but I also wouldn’t buy an actual appliance without opening it up, poking at things, and so on. Hell if I was allowed to test drive a dishwasher I’d roll up to the appliance store with a tub of dirty dishes just to make sure it was a good one.

I can’t count the number of times my purchasing decision changed dramatically thanks to a test drive, avoiding them would be extremely silly.

Seriously, there is so much nuance to every car on the market that you are only going to get feel for in a test drive, particularly ergonomics. Even the total beige-mobiles have discernible differences that affect daily use.

No test drive needed? So just buy a car then realize the seats suck, the road noise is horrible, the info system sucks, etc etc?

This isn’t super uncommon in Italy. Exactly the same thing happened a few years ago in northern Italy with burning trucks and armed ambushes. Made me late for work, cunts...

See Fast Five, you don’t need to rob a bank by stealing the whole vault!

At $400, the Toyota Van looks to be a good deal. It seems to be in great shape, with the exception of its tyres and engine. The Alfa? Not so much. I wouldn’t buy it cause I think it would be too much work. That said, I’m giving NP, because at $500, I know there will be enough people willing to take it.
