Fun Fact: My 1990 copy of the Guide Book of the Long Trail in Vermont says that the summit of Glastenbury Mtn. "affords a 360 degree view which includes more wilderness than is to be seen from any other point along the trail."

That is an excellent idea, and might help explain why the blocking/framing (I don't know the proper term) seemed so awkward in that scene.
