A bit the $300 bullet a while ago (conveniently after I had three Seagate failures in a 3-drive array) and bought a terabyte raptor. I have friends who have been running them for over 5 years. I highly recommend. Particularly since I get into Battlefield matches first and fly off in the helicopters with the SSD

Also, I throw in NBTSTAT -A IPADDRS on cmd (in windows) to get a computer's name. We have certain software that can only be used by one pc at a time at work, so this lets me know who to yell at for not logging out :P

For real, splosion. Gifs are great in the right context, sprinkling a few here and there. But I much prefer your literal retorts to your gif diarrhea.

Bob, from the bottom of my heart, I thoroughly enjoy your non-gif posts.

????

Please just full-on dive into grey hat hacking. I want to get skeezy. Your Backtrack and Wireshark articles were the reason I started checking Lifehacker daily.

Joe's VLC has worked out quite nicely for me:

Is it still in beta or something. Sometimes backers of software get peeved when the beta that they had to pay extra to get into gets released publicly. Opensource software has this kind of grey area where they have to decide to stick to their free-for-all roots or reward people who helped them.

Underboob. The 9th Wonder of the World.

Alpha AI though. I have no interest in this game. But I would assume that they'd make it a bit more challenging than that. Otherwise players will just hide from each other and kill bots for the whole game.

Kireek traded his Soul Eater for Saul Tigh's eyepatch.

Having a hard time remembering the relevance of I was going for here. But I'll give you that you seem to be correct about the resolution.

Is this your new format? Instead of .gifs, "What kind of fucking nerd (topic)?"

And where are you getting this from that 12 ran at a lower resolution? All ps2 games were 480p.

For the most part, they didn't make consoles for 4k. Everything on ps4 and xone will just expand from 1080p or 900p to 4k, except for video they did say that both systems will play 4k video native. Both of last gen's systems maxed games at 720p and upscaled to 1080. This is just the way it is. Don't like it? Build a

Well there was no reason not to back then. Very few TV's at the time supported the illustrious 540p. Which, fun fact, was also why no one cared about laser disc.

Even if you run it on an emulator, the difference between 480 and 1080 is insane. Here's an old FF12 comparison I made.

Probably not, but a revised interface and open source adoption/integration of secureboot would probably tip me over the edge for personal use.

I actually had really good luck with the transition from XP to 7, but it's obvious that wouldn't be the case for everyone. Ultimately, I've just really come to appreciate that modern operating systems and applications don't NEED 4+ gigs of ram to operate properly, which has fueled our migration (where appropriate and
