Oops, I meant PCs, not tablets. But seriously, try it out. I guarantee you can't. But not just linux. Try windows 7. You can't install either on GPT. You have to wipe it and format as MBR. So stop trying to be rude and maybe actually look into things?

Windows 8 is good for people who use their computers for Internet

If 2gig machines + W7 can run everything I need, and W8 can't, and we don't use imaging software because of the different customization levels of the PC's our staff uses... There's literally still no reason to "upgrade".

And do me a favor, pick up a new windows 8 tablet and try to install Linux without having to wipe

Ok dan, site me your stability testing sources. I saw a W8 BSOD within my first day of using it.

What's the difference between a BMW and a cactus?

A cactus has pricks on the outside.

"lost"

RIP NY dumpster babies.

Awesome. So it can crash 20% faster. So I can get 90% more questions about how to find programs. So I can spend the entire life cycle of the product doing helpdesk. So we have to shorten our update cycle. It's literally just absolutely not worth doing in a corporate setting.

It's an arduino, add an accelerometer if you want one!

Standard US Quatter?

But on the real, this is pretty sweet. Beats the Uno for super-mini projects.

Congrats on your emergence from greyhood!

Honestly, there's no single best AV. I leave MSE on mine and my clients' computers because it protects against most things. Anything else that hits you is going to be because you invited something into your computer. Once that happens, I have a slew of bootables that I use for

Oh, barf! You use the appy mail/IE clients!?

You clearly don't work in IT.

I'll just wait til Win9 and nuke it.

I'm always trolling old articles, but it's never too late to spew mac hate ;)

I have a newer AMD laptop, and I know it supports recent VT, but I'm not seeing this ten-second countdown. As soon as I switch the disc and hit OSX installer, I get a kernel panic. I'm ok with abandoning this because it's running on my intel desktop, but I'd like to get it on my laptop too. Is the countdown in the OSX

I made an 8-tone sine wave keyboard! I ended up buying a couple of the MEGA boards so that I could make a key-tar of sorts. Ended up selling them and never got around to it :/

I'm here because my jackass teacher picked their proprietary IDE to use for an app development class instead of one of the BILLION other platform agnostic ones. So now I'm using more than half of my Linux install's HDD space for this crapware. I had never had any interest in this before, and will be wiping it as soon

That's why it seems like an odd choice. Though, I've heard that Ivy Bridge are something of a waste for overclocking due to the heat distribution inside the package. How's your 4770k OC? My 2600k only gets up to 4.3 stable, whereas my old 2500k got up to 4.7 with ease. The price you pay for hyperthreading :/

Thanks! Though, the decision seems odd then. Why not just go with the 4770? Or the K even, it would at least suit the mood of the machine. Are those instruction sets so important?

It's really a format system rather than a model system. It's like going to best buy and looking at computers. Except it'll likely just be links to all the certified steam machines compiled by steam. It's not like there'll ever be a Steam Machine 2.

M means mobile. The die is probably onboard and about a square inch.
