Memory leaks would only induce lag in machines with low ram. I would doubt that even a leak would cause the ps4's 8GB to be utilized.

The point is, you can't change the thread count of an emulator. PS2 had two processing cores. So even if you have an 8 core on your PC now, the emulator will just max two of those threads before it starts cutting frames. If my 4.5Ghz 8-core gets choked up on emulating two arm cores, imagine how even the best current…
