Not specific to one brand, but I tend to gravitate towards Hondas and Subarus. Toyotas are good too. I will stay the hell away from anything American.

It’s more about what percent of your income would you spend on a car. That depends on the car and the deal offered. Me, I would probably never go over 40k.
