“Michigan has come a long way but that doesn’t mean we get to coast now.”
“Michigan has come a long way but that doesn’t mean we get to coast now.”
I’m glad you walked out on him. Maybe it registered that what he was saying was an abhorrent deal-breaker to some people, or at least that not everyone shared his hate. The truth is, this is a lot easier to do in theory than practice, and that’s what it takes: practice. I don’t want to walk around paranoid or…
the Age of Information knows only truth
It’s gotta be shopped. The coat is actually Gucci, and I’m not sure they weren’t genuinely trolling her with it. Someone there has a wicked sense of humor.
it’s amazing to me that the people in america with the most money and power have the worst taste.
I think every thinking and feeling white person has this discombobulating experience at some point; you are having what seems to be a normal social interaction with a friend or friendly person, and you realize, “holy fucking shit, this person is a stupid monster, and they assume I am one too.”
All of this is true, and none of it negates the fact that a good chunk of them don’t take too kindly to being treated -and watching elected officials being treated- like second class citizens because of their gender. Not all of them by any means, but a non-insignificant number of republican women are sick of this shit…
Pretty glaring double standard, and obliviously, Senate republicans didn’t seem to think that would be pointed out as adding insult to injury...
I think now it’s beyond arguing that this child was treated as a second class citizen because of his race, but I also think it’s worth noting that even his parents didn’t expect that at the time- they expected justice. What’s remarkable - and so, so ugly- is the fact that so many observers seemed perfectly at peace…
I don’t have a clue about make-up and beauty stuff- never learned and now I’m too old to start- but you know what I DO know? Do. Not. Be. Rude. To. Hair. And. Make-up. People. If I ever have to go on the teevee, I’m going to bring them lattes and throw myself at their merciful feet.
Great point; if the value of blonde daughter-wife’s sweatshop crap is negatively affected by her proximity to the so-called president, so is the value of pinchy-face daughter-wife’s sweatshop crap. They clearly don’t speak and neither do their lawyers. Oopsie!
So many of their products have no perceivable audience or market.
Only because it would be socially awkward for the two of them, since the community was already holding rallies even as the EO was just a rumor, not because they give a shit about rights.
I mean, the answer is complicated, and it does kind of depend.
Haha! Diabolical. YES!
We’ve certainly earned your skepticism and then some.
I hear ya. I’m white and from a conservative area, and I don’t understand republican women’s priorities or values either, but I know they deal with the same sexist bullshit the rest of us do, just because they’re women. Identities are complicated like that. Sometimes it just takes a small crack in that wall of…
This is worse optics than usual though, especially to GOP women. Mitch and his cronies don’t even see this, but these idiot manbabies just silenced a woman respected by other women across party lines, for reading another universally respected woman’s letter, in the middle of a shitstorm of protests lead primarily by…
And this isn’t about “proclivities” any more than it is about social media; this is about a girl who said “no” and a man who went ahead and did it anyway. It’s really not that fucking complicated.
