Especially since the last two years, the amount I got back from the federal government was offset by what I owed to the state government, making it a net loss. Hear, it's all gains!

This past weekend, I went to a fundraiser that a girlfriend of one of my friends was running. In addition to having some good times spent with friends on a lovely day outdoors in a good backyard of the bar it was held in, I won two raffle prizes, a free haircut for a barbership with a bar in the back and two VIP

Sad!

There's also the fact that he's not related to that set of Baldwins.

And, in all fairness, there was still a ton that was hard to figure out and my other team only got Jackie right.

Correct on everything. I'm annoyed at myself for messing up Abu, as I ended up writing Apu, even with Michael right there to let me know that it was Abu.

I think the tracks were played long enough to be able to figure it out each time.

I'm still pissed I didn't get Jackie or On The Waterfront, the former for having seen it not that long ago and loved the score, the latter for being one of my favorite films. Still, we did way better than we normally do on scores.

Interestingly, she only was nominated once before, for Elizabeth, before she won her first one. The Academy couldn't ignore her for very long.

I am indeed. And good to hear that it was mostly accurate. Those trailers were a blast from the past for me, as many of them were featured on a VHS compilation of SF/F trailers called A Century Of Science Fiction, hosted by none other than Christopher Lee.

Makes sense, if a bit disappointing. Maybe someone can make it again when the season hits Netflix, as they're mostly pretty fun trailers to see.

Correct on both. And probably also correct on number of Death Wishes.

Very good job, all is correct. Particularly impressive is getting Proof, which was only answered correctly by my team, my other film group team, and one other team.

After a little hiatus, I now return to posting recaps of my Movie Trivia session. And it was a very fun night, with a special guest start. For this night, my film group was made up of two teams, My Neighbor Tarantino and my team of Fake Newsies. Fake Newsies was honored and privileged to have one Mr. Matthew Stechel

I'm one of the Kickstarter backers who got an early viewing of the first episode and just that. Others who paid more than I do are getting to watch the entire series right now.

The person who wrote about this didn't have the original posting of the list, since that had been purged, but he made a YouTube playlist of the trailers for the original films that are coming, which you can check out here and backers who paid more than me either confirm or deny whether that's the actual lineup: https:/

Do not doubt the ever powerful arms of Toho Studios.

I was confused for a bit, because I usually classify the first segment as the first one that happens after the film and all the segments before that are prologues. I'll agree that the opening one is the weakest, although I think the acting in it was intentionally broad.

Sadly, I didn't pledge high enough to get the full season, so I've only got the season premiere. Which is fine, I'm okay waiting till Netflix to add them, since I'm okay with contributing to the view count.

Someone in another group I belong to posted a list of what are supposed to be the films riffed on this season, and it's honestly going to be enjoyable on those film selections alone.
