Based only on the first episode, I think we're in for a pretty good season. The host segments are a little weak, but the riffing was really quite strong and the three new guys have a good rapport right off the bat. They also have a pretty classic song right off the back.

By any chance, do you know any good books that have been written about him? I only had known the basic outline of his story before Crimetown and it's just so, so fascinating and interesting to me.

It is a pretty good Crimetown, but I'll admit, I'm much, much more interested in the Buddy Cianci story than I am of some of the wiseguy stuff. That kind of government corruption story is catnip to me.

They released two of the previously lost KTMA episodes to backers of the MST3K revival. So fucking dire! Joel delivered all his riffs sounding completely stoned and it felt like watching a film with only occasional interjections.

I kind of appreciate British actor's willingness to not be precious about what they work in and see work as work and just go and be a professional on-set and do what's asked.

A woman acting past the age of 40? Surely you jest!

It might be worth renting the DVD for the deleted scene where Michael Caine plops a pair of headphones over Morgan Freeman's ears and tells him to prepare to listen to the band that will change his life, and it's Sharon Jones And The Dap Kings.

There's a Romanian film I saw last year called The Treasure which is even more of an overt comedy, while still having the themes of bureaucracy and a determined pace that marks much of the Romanian New Wave. I liked it quite a bit and it got a good review here as well: http://www.avclub.com/revie…

Looking at the Wikipedia for this, you're probably right. Also from there, I've now learned that this film also has the voices of Michelle Rodriguez, Ellie Kemper, Meghan Trainor, Jake Johnson, Titus Burgess, Gabriel Iglesias, Jeff Dunham, and Gordon Ramsay (!). Pretty eclectic cast all around.

I may have overstated a bit, but I also still think it's close. Using Pixar, of the 7 films they've released this decade, 4 of them have been rated PG, (Brave, Inside Out, The Good Dinosaur, and Finding Dory). And for Walt Disney Animation, the only film rated G by them since 2010 was Winnie The Pooh. So, while not

She has done voiceover work in the past, but it does feel a smidge sad that she's got to the point in her career where she can be considered cheap voice talent.

G has just died out as a rating in general. Just about every animated film is now rated PG, probably to avoid the stigma that it's just for kids and that this will have stuff adults can enjoy.

Looks like we're in reboot town for this.

It also made a pretty decent amount overseas, over $270 million, which isn't bad, although a decline from the first one, which made over $400 million overseas.

Oh hai Arnie!

Just you wait until the Steve Harvey hosted version, where he looks shocked, shocked!, that people actually are dying every time.

They kind of are, but I'd still say they're closer to fairies with human appearance, in the same way that the Disney Tinkerbell is portrayed.

My apologies if I came off of as saying that your experience of Colossal was lesser than mine. My philosophy on spoilers is that I prefer to not know as much as possible going into a film as much as possible, but a good or great film will still be be good or great if you are accidentally spoiled. To use another film,

Pike was in Die Another Day, easily one of the worst Bond films.

I'll concede that point. I'd just argue that it's still a different and, to my eyes, more rewarding experience when you see it knowing as little as possible.
