Got them all. Congrats!
Got them all. Congrats!
Correct you are!
That also leaves aside the fact that that sentence fragment wasn't even about Lautner. I mean, there are definitely double standards towards women in Hollywood and the audience for Hollywood films, but Taylor Lautner is not a great example.
Correct on most. It was actually King Solomon's Mines that was directed by J Lee Thompson. Allan Qatermain was directed by someone else. You have a chance to redeem yourself, as there was a bonus question for the Sleepwalkers one I forgot to write down, which is what Twin Peaks cast member is in that film?
Oh yeah, I knew it. Have some faith in me!
Correct on most. Wedding Crashers isn't too bad a guess, but it's not a thriller. And yeah, I was shocked to discover that Cape Fear was a gigantic, production company destroying flop.
Correct on all but Aliens. You gave the year for Alien, not the sequel Aliens.
This does show aging, but even there, it's still pretty mild. What's even more hilarious though is that the picture round had a still from Uncle Vanya and we thought it was one of her more modern films. It probably was the angle and lighting of the still that made us think that, as the one you pulled definitely seems…
That it is! Great job.
That was one we discussed briefly, but he directed another one before that.
Correct on everything! Good job. My team was kicking itself for not getting the Herzog one, particularly as one of my teammates had seen Cobra Verde but folded it into Woyzeck.
Correct on everything! Great job.
Apologies for not having a Movie Trivia post for you last week. There was Movie Trivia last week, but my wi-fi just completely fucked up and I couldn't write anything. But it's working now and I can tell you about this week's really good and exciting night of trivia. As always, my film group was able to field two…
I'd guess the latter. Looking into the two films TheAngryInternet named, The End Of Year was the other credit IMDB has and Feng Shui has just one actor listed for the entire film, Bingyan Yan. Whether that just reflects a bias for Americans as the primary contributors to the site or something else, I can't say.
You should've known so much ahead of time that they'd fixate on that description. Congrats though! And good job on going the extra mile and including the link to the actual news story. I would just be counting my blessings for the rest of my life if I ever found out I gave a ride to a murderer and lived.
Haven't seen Brokeback, so he may very well be amazing there as well.
He's amazing in Nightcrawler. Prisoners is just the first time I really took note and thought of how incredible he was as an actor.
Nitpick: It was actually Fox that aired Prison Break.
Who would've thought that that would turn out to be one of Herzog's worst reviewed films?
I'm pegging it is as the equivalent of the Weinstein release that was a biopic of Nelson Mandela that totally disappeared from the conversation after getting okay reviews.
