Statham has fun movies, but nothing that are considered stone cold masterpieces.

I've only seen bits and pieces of that when I've gone back to visit my parents and I forgot what she sounded like. Still, as you say, that's time period, not a foreign language accent. Different skill sets.
Honestly, if I were to see one new film this weekend based solely on nothing but how attractive I find one of the supporting actresses, I'd have to go with Allied and seeing Lizzy Caplan canoodle another woman.
The question then would be, how good is she at accents? I've only ever heard her do her regular voice.
Rialto Pictures. Playing in NYC at Metrograph, not Film Forum or BAM, which are the usual places that signify an upcoming Criterion release.
Bonnie & Clyde and McCabe & Mrs. Miller still are pretty revered in cinemaphile circles. The Parallax View is still a classic 70's paranoia thriller. Reds still has some respect among people.
Cool. Crimetown's also pretty solid, if you're into learning about the crime scene of Providence. As someone with relatives in Rhode Island, it's a fun listen for me.
I mean, they did hint at it a bit in the first episode and they've gotten into more of his history as things have gone along. I think the next episode coming out in two weeks is going to be the one that really dives head first into the sexual harassment allegations and American Apparel's version of why they removed…
Criminal works very well to combat this, mostly because it's not serialized and it delves into all sorts of crimes and criminal justice issues, not just grisly murders. It's worth listening to.
The Snowman, Olaf, I'd characterize as more naive than stupid, which, I know is on a spectrum, but there's more charm in Olaf's misunderstanding of how the sun interacts with snow than pure laughing at how stupid he is for not knowing.
In case you missed Jesse's reply, that's not the case here. Both parents are alive; however, she only comes into conflict with her dad, so there's no real need to mention the mom in the review, other than to answer whether both parents are living.
And a mustache and a hairpiece.
As an actor, yes. However, Ben Affleck does have some good directing chops.
It was mentioned upthread, but his villain in Premium Rush is really just one of the best over-the-top greats.
Awww, especially since Prisoners, I always consider Jake Gyllenhaal a positive for a film to have.
No worries, this is not my first visit there. I got my ticket back when I was still feeling the rush of the Alamo finally opening and having an interest in seeing this at some point. I've only had one experience that was super annoying, where not only was the wrong food attempted to be delivered to my table, but they…
Thanks for the well wishes. Definitely check out the Alamo when you can, it mostly does live up to the hype.
Oooh, good thinking. A little weaker on the ending than Breathe, but that seems like it'd fit that genre as well.
That may be true. I was thinking more of what I'm pretty sure they've done in the past.
To me, it wasn't horrible, but it was definitely lesser Wachowskis. Still not their worst, which would be Matrix: Revolutions.
