I think when you’re 95 and have been playing the Game Boy for so many years a Switch might be a very stupid idea. Have you had an elderly relative? It’s a stretch to get them to use a phone, let alone pick up and learn a whole new console. Especially at 95.
Fair play to Nintendo though :)

Grandia II was great but I really hope the dungeons aren't similar to it in anyway. They were just rehashed maps after the third main dungeon that it began to feel like a chore. I guess the lack random encounters will help (which I like when done well- but that's a whole other sack of potatoes.)

I enjoyed 10 but would have to agree with you that I felt Final Fantasy lost its edge when everyone started to look so life like and human. This goes for the people in towns et al especially. And it just feels like all the garments are the same, and from 10 onwards you could probably just but any town in to any other

I do believe the primary reason people should be so excited for this game isn't for the next-gen capabilities, etc. But rather that it's been the first game since FFVII that they've taken a seriously long time to develop, and that that they've trusted both the story and concept of game play so much they would make it

Couldn't agree more. People who keep dismissing Sonic obviously haven't played Colours or Generations, even Sonic Rush's were good games (par from the sound tracks). I can see in a few years time all the hipsters will be saying they liked Sonic when he wasn't cool.

I work in a game shop myself. Probably just missed a copy when they were repricing. Very awkward nonetheless!

Not everyone likes on screen monsters, especially not myself. I feel a lot of the times part of the thrill of old school Final Fantasys was that moment where you contemplated going for a treasure chest, but you just didn't want to go through another battle. Yes it's annoying but sometimes it gives you that adrenaline
