None of that really justifies the ways Jezebel has chosen to broach this topic. Speculate all you want, but reporting on this immediately after it comes out - and staying absolutely mum about the leaked audios - is NOT a  good look.

Of course they didn’t. Do you expect them to admit to being WRONG?

A live-action movie is languishing in development hell. At one point, Keanu Reeves was to play the role of Spike Spiegel. I normally dislike live-action adaptations of anime properties, but this one had a lot of potential.

This is sad.

Not everyone’s a puritan, you know.

Went there a few years ago. Gorgeous place.

The original japanese broadcasts are censored to different degrees. The “regular” version hides everything and blacks out entire scenes; the AT-X version is a lot less censored, but I don’t know to what degree. The uncensored releases use the Taiwanese broadcast, which bares it all out (except for THAT one scene,

The high seas will help you. They offer you uncensored episodes, too, something Funimation certainly did NOT do.

He often does not even “deposit his money”. His share of the royalties for Watchmen went entirely to Dave Gibbons, because he was completely opposed to the idea.

Bad animation aside, the thing that saddens me the most about this is the lack of Yoko Kanno :(

Indeed. Maybe we were just worse players when we were kids, but going back to some vintage titles can be a bit jarring when it comes to their length. CRPGs are pretty much the only titles that are always just as big today as they were back then, in my experience; even those classic adventure games, the ones with loads

I really liked Amid Evil, but I think it was the worst of that bunch. I feel the combat had some pretty good ideas behind it, but found it ultimately dissatisfying, at least when compared to the pitch-perfect shooting systems of IM and Dusk. Credit where credit is due, though: Amid Evil has great level design,

This looks absolutely delicious. I’ve been craving similar experiences after devouring Dusk, Ion Maiden (I will NEVER accept the new name) and Amid Evil, so it is nice to know I have this title to look forward to.

I stayed at that hotel when I last went to Japan. Nice place. Right in front of the VR Zone, too.

You have to think of women as objects to enjoy the kind of fanservice this game provides? Quite a reach, don’t you think?

The game features a veritable cornucopia of body types. This is probably the most popular character in the series:

The weirdest thing is that Remedy is usually quite good with gameplay. Even Alan Wake, with its simple, unassuming combat, is quite satisfying to play. Control feels like a game made by a completely different developer.

I found Control lackluster, but even I will admit it is a tremendously beautiful game. I would kill for a similarly-looking game that actually managed to please me from a gameplay standpoint.

These stories have noble goals, but the greatest problem I see with them is that they tend to invert the polarities in regards to the quality of Lovecraft’s writing. Lovecraft was a bad writer, but a FANTASTIC world-builder; it is worth getting past his disjointed, stiff prose to experience the atmosphere, the general

Studio DEEN happened. Not trying to donwplay the culture of crunch that certainly exists in the anime industry, but DEEN has never been exactly well-known for the quality of their animation.
