It saddens me that good writing is being compared to twitter (by the game’s very writer, no less!), a platform centered on transient, braindead discourse by design.

So did I. Maybe there is an exception for charity works? It IS self-harm, but the damage is minor at best and it is for a good cause.

RPS is usually good. Shame they are so ridiculously tone-deaf when it comes to japanese games, though...

Weird to see Himeji castle ranked so low on that list. I would expect it to be in the top 5, if not at the very top.

The goofy suit is the crux of the issue. It is tremendously gaudy and a fashion disaster, which, combined with the long hair that seems to have come straight out of the playbook of a 70s rock band, makes classic Thor a sight to behold. A man wearing a watermelon on his head wouldn’t be more eye-catching.

I miss classic Thor.

It is ironic that consumer products made by large corporations are some of the most disputed political battlegrounds nowadays (most of the people engaging in this sort of discourse are pretty affluent, too, which just makes it funnier). Whether this shows how much political discourse has evolved or utterly degenerated

I don’t know if we’ve played completely different games or just have different playstyles, but I found Sekiro to be significantly harder than Demon’s Souls.

I liked your post twice. Pity I can’t give you two stars.

Blendo games is great.

There is nothing wrong with Dahlia.

That would’ve helped, yes. But even without a proper budget, Obsidian has been MUCH better before. Better writing would already have helped A LOT; it seems that Outer Worlds’ writers don’t quite have the same talent. Obsidian has been hemorrhaging good people for a while now, which is all too noticeable. I was really

Have you tried the classic Bioware Games - specifically, the two Baldur’s Gates? I ask that because Bioware’s modern oeuvre is much inferior to their classics, to the point that their post-Neverwinter Nights games might as well have come from a different studio. Jade Empire was essentially the last good game they

I found it a tremendously disappointing game, actually. I was expecting much more, but most of the people who made the great-but-rough games of Obsidian’s past are long gone.

Outer Wilds is a fantastic game. A true gem.

You should be telling Jo this, not me. As I said, I have not watched the movie and do not plan to. I found episode 7 to be unbelievably stupid (more than Star Wars usually tends to be), and what I’ve heard of the following two entries suggests they aren’t any better. I merely pointed out this is a very common

Since you seem to be jumping to conclusions a little bit...

I said the game presents every single political option as a joke (which is true - the game goes out of its way to point that out). You said I got a “South Park Reading” out of it, which seemed to me like a tremendously shallow way of deflecting. You were saying I read this game’s politics like those of South Park,

I have no idea how you can equate saying “the game’s politics are exaggerated and mainly satirical” to “this game’s humor is just like South Park”. Unless you think every satire is just like South Park...

I take it you haven’t played many games with political themes?
