Hmmm, I see. Thanks! I intend to buy the game this weekend, so I guess I will check it out myself.

Thanks!

Now THIS looks right up my alley. I had no idea SWERY’s studio had a project other than The Good Life in the pipeline, so this is a welcome surprise!

The art is beautiful, but I hate these planeswalkers. HATE them.

I am a bit miffed that the article made sure to mention Avellone worked on Pillars of Eternity, but completely forgot to mention Fallout, Fallout 2 and Planescape: Torment. It’s kinda like quoting David Lynch and saying he worked on Dune and Fire Walk With Me. “Eraserhead? What’s that?”

*an interest IN. I seriously have no idea how I did not notice that.

I’ll be direct: piracy.

Given that Uchikoshi is involved, I wouldn’t be surprised if the characters’ ages (as in, actual ages) were a significant plot point (or a twist). It wouldn’t be the first time he’s done something like this.

Ooooh yes, I certainly do. That *DID* make me cringe... hard. But the thing is, embarrassing moments in Uchikoshi’s works are few and far between, and often seem intentional (seriously, I refuse to believe he did not write that entire scene with the greatest shit-eating grim in the world).

Difference is, Project Phoenix was a kickstarter project led by a musician. This is an apparently self-funded company founded by industry veterans.

I highly recommend them... or, at the very least, all of Uchikoshi’s games. Ever17 is a classic of the medium and the Zero Escape series is fantastic, even though the third entry suffered from a lack of budget and rushed production.

So the new game will be a mixture of sorts between Ever 17 (that underwater park setting is a clear nod to it) and Danganronpa?

This is easily the best thing of 2018.

The first episode is easily the worst of the series. The show changes DRAMATICALLY later on.

Actually, polish people ARE considered BAME in the UK, according to these sources:

I am aware. The theory posits, however, that hunters in the nightmare remain as they were when they passed in the real world - which is why Maria is “dead”. If you zoom in on her, you can even see the area where she supposedly slashed her own throat.

I agree, which is why I hope From changed their minds and kept the code as is solely because it achieved the effect of “killing” Maria without any additional work.

I really hope that is not the canonical explanation for Maria’s death; the prevalent fan theory that she committed suicide is FAR more interesting, especially regarding the effect her death had on Gehrman.

I agree. I personally consider this to be the best horror game from that console generation - and yes, that means I think Haunting Ground is superior to Resident Evil 4.

Emulating it is fairly easy. If you are against downloading ISOs you don’t own, you could just get a copy of the game off Ebay and then emulate it without any moral quandaries.
