That’s about the most ridiculous car thing I have ever read. It has nothing to do with the tire contact patch.

Is it 270 lbs lighter than the gt3rs? If not its not like 911r
Some people don’t like the motorsport part of GT3s, with all the aero work, etc. It’s why the 991 GT3 RS doesn’t have the stickers of the 997 and 996 — people complained about them. Also why the 981 Boxster Spyder and Cayman GT4 didn’t have the motorsport stripes standard (they’re a DIO), because people didn’t like…
The car is much more impressive without (speak softly, big stick, etc) the silly boy racer wing but the colored stripes up top and black stripes on the sides cause my OCD circuits to overload.
Maybe just that the turbo engine is a bridge too far in the evolution of the car.
I want this to be the market telling Porsche to bring back some of the purity. I don’t need air-cooled, but I would like naturally aspirated car. It could even be a package option so the default and dealer lot cars get a turbo, call them a Carrera S N/A. Though the nameplate that was sitting there for this use case…
Dear god, please let Dieselgate cost VW so much money they start producing 964's again.
While there may be a multiple unique Porsche of the moderna era, there are scant few with houndstooth seats! Without those it is just a package and not a drool worthy car to me.
I was hoping this would be the new spot for the 911 GTS. Hang on an NA flat-6 for a few more 911 generations and sell all the “posers” those little turbo 6s.
You can buy a 911 GT3 with 18-way leather seats, Bose audio, and without roll cage, right now. Have a custom rear decklid made and bingo, you have 911 R’d your GT3.
There can be only one...
I think Porsche underestimated just how many people would want the 911R.
Why would they be mad? In 20 years, there are still only going to be a few true 911R’s and there will probably be thousands of GT3's with the X90 package. The R will still hold its value because it is the real deal original car. The car that started the trend and forced Porsche to create a whole options package…
There is plenty historical evidence that desert racing is well within the 911's comfort zone
This is my car :) The “Derelict” idea spoke to me as a person who annoys my lady (and myself) because I won’t park my car just anywhere or dare hand over the keys to a valet (side note, handing these keys to a valet and watching them sort it out might be worth it’s weight in comedy). And, I’ve always had a thing for…
Well, to be fair, the title is Dear White People. So, at least on some level this show (and the movie) was written to get white people’s attention. I always assumed it was an attempt to show things like hey there all you people of whiteness, here are black people and look, they are not a monolith. Their experience…
I thought that was the best part because it was so indicative of how college students are the WORST for the DEEPEST REASONS.
To be fair, this fact is literally in the title of the show.
Too bad the best one is absent from this
