The reason Mitsuoka can do these cars is because they’re kinda like a coachbuilder. They make limited quantities of these cars (the ‘Corvette-Miata’ Rock Star is limited to just 200 units for instance) and so they don’t have to conform to crash test regulations and such. In quite a few countries getting a bike licence is a tiered system based on power/capacity. To ride a litre bike you usually have to have at least a couple of years of experience plus a couple of tests to pass.
