Well, this last 9-3 was based on GM’s Epsilon platform, which spawned such luminaries as the Opel/Vauxhall Vectra, Cadillac BLS (I know), and the Chevrolet Malibu Maxx. The 9-3 was the shining gem among that pile of sheer utter mediocrity.

You’re right actually. Quite a few Bonds (Moore, Brosnan, Craig) have commented on the sheer ridiculousness of a spy who’s flashy and well-known.
