I’m not sure I understand what the DLC is that’s going to be inaccessible. Several articles mention paid DLC that will not not work, but no one seems to know if this means single player DLC or multiplayer DLC. I get being upset if single player DLC is suddenly undownloadable, but if it’s say, skins for multiplayer,

“When I first watched Netflix’s new anime Bastard!!: Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy, I expected a melodramatic anime series along the lines of Record of Lodoss War.”

WB/DC are probably thankful at the sheer dumb luck that this movie lets them easily replace Miller for future movies.

I work in marketing, and this is absolutely either a raw-metrics strategy (i.e. whoever looks at the numbers only cares that the line goes up, not what’s done to make it happen) or an afterthought as part of the package deal EA signed with some ad agency, who in turn assigned it to the intern.

but is it really Shin-chan without the dick and butt jokes?

Whenever they get around to making a real FF movie, assuming that Krasinski is indeed not cast as the “real” Reed, they should still have versions of him pop in through multiverse portals every so often only to be immediately killed in increasingly absurd ways.

Remember when Kotaku wasn’t just a video game site? Remember when Kotaku covered anime? Japanese snack foods? Nerd culture in general?

*pushes up glasses* It’s actually an interesting fail. The Spidey robot locked up which must have been an issue during testing. It probably happened enough times that the Imagineers planned for it, so the show has alternate dialogue in case it occured. The breakaway wall also allowed for easy replacement to get

Leia was bait and had to be convincingly scared so Obi-Wan would feel her through the Force.

It also helps that people know where the dividing line is. If they want to treat Volumes 1-41 as “Actual Berserk” and 42+ as “the best we’re ever going to get short of time travel,” then that’s not too bad.

HxH is about to come back again, incidentally.

I have so many second-hand mangas of lesser-known artists that have series of only a few volumes, tragically cut short because of editorial fiat. 5 volumes of build-up and then BAM! the story is finished with so many unresolved plots.

Mori does have the skills. At least I believe he does. Holyland and Sousei no Taiga demonstrate that much, I think.

Mori’s a good one. Holyland is fantastic, and his current work, Sousei no Taiga, is pretty damn good too.

It’s a nigh-impossible task to fill Miura’s shoes, but if anyone deserves the chance it’s Mori. Knowing the rough outline for how the rest of the story was supposed to go is good, but also more or less a prerequisite. But his close friendship with Miura should give him a good idea of how Miura would have told it. And

“Art is fire plus algebra.” That’s a quote credited to Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges. Basically the idea is that in really great art—and, by extension, storytelling—there is an almost mathematical precision to decision-making. Yes, much of artistic expression is about feeling and emotion. But plugging that into a

I’m reminded of Tarsem Singh’s “The Fall”.

VFX for film and television, artificial environments for green room shoots and LED walls, that’s where this is going.

NO ONE SEES THE NETFLIX STATS! NOT NOBODY, NOT NO HOW!
