A few weeks ago Azealia hit me up for some economic help and bong I gave a helping hand.

“I’m so very sorry, but when we were stitching you up Dr. WTF sewed his finger to your labia. It didn’t worsen the tear, but fluids mixed and we do need to do an HIV test. After we re-sew.”
Probably my oral surgeon explaining where and how they would get the material to back-fill my jaw once they took out my fucked-up tooth and all the material around it.
Oh and then there was that time no one told me not to eat anything with seeds in it after my wisdom teeth. When I finally flushed those sockets it’s was like a stream of black sand that smelled like dog breath.
Uggggh tonsil stones are disgusting. And painful. Worst illness of my life early on in college. Step test came back negative. I could barely swallow without chewing super strong gum first to make it colder feeling.
Is there another meaning for hyperbole that I missed? The storm did kill 136 people and counting in Haiti. The National Guard is out there to help people evacuate and they sending help to people with disabilities too. When you have idiots like Vanilla Ice telling people they can power through a 140 miles/hour storm…
I agree that it was a dick thing to say, but the man is trying to save lives. For once (and probably once only) I agree with him.
Um, disagree, Bobby. Shep Smith is a Grade A number 1 a$$hole, but he’s basically right. People’s memories are short these days, and some of them are just spacing out on how bad it can really get. If this douche yelling at them gets even one person to leave their house and head to a shelter, whatever their income…
But why wouldn’t you tell her that, if you thought it might help her get the hell out of there? The death count in Haiti is over 100 and counting. Your friend COULD die.
There are shelters open all over the state. There’s a shelter down the street from me in Tampa that is mostly people from Treasure Coast. My kid’s Girl Scout troop just took some GS cookies to them.
Same. Over dramatic delivery? Probably, yeah. Are lots of people going to die? Probably, yeah. Could some of those deaths have been prevented if they’d evacuated, and had the opportunity to evacuate? Probably, yeah.
Am I missing something? These folks do need to evacuate. They could die like thousands before them if they don’t. What context am I not getting? We don’t have hurricanes in Atlanta.
Okay, I want to say something a little bit controversial here...
I get what you’re saying and I think that tactic works in certain circles. If you’ve got a group of people already pre-disposed to dislike the guy, tripling down on the ‘Trump sucks’ doesn’t hurt. It’s going to score points. By the same token, tripling down on ‘Trump sucks’ isn’t going to hurt your standing with…
I think it’s weird how we expect that since someone has some positive or negative trait that we then think every aspect of their being must ALSO be similarly positive or negative. We can’t accept complexity in people - just archetypes.
I am an American living in Italy and I can tell you that the American media made her out to look like an innocent person being wrongly accused by an unjust legal system. I have zero comment on the legal system here (the prosecutor in this case is clearly an idiot, TBH) but I also believe she had some knowledge what…
I didn’t question it, but it honestly baffles me. If people are so, so, so adamant that every shred of evidence against Amanda was tampered with and/or a product of a deeply corrupt system, how can they so nonchalantly believe, without a second of doubt, that the verdict against Rudy, delivered by the same system, is…
Geez I wore the shit out of this stuff back in the late 60's - long bell jeans with giant platform shoes (usually suede) - high waisted, light blue denim, giant leather belt with giant buckle. It was a uniform, can’t believe its back.
