I’m with you. I don’t know why this story and this guy are being targeted with such vitriol.
I think you are right. The point of that anecdote is “they found ways to change the rules to accommodate the two boys with special needs in their game.”
Why do eager to dispense the hate to someone you don’t know? He isn’t a “pretentious garbage person,” even if it somehow makes you feel good to be angry at a stranger.
Isn’t he saying that as kids, they learned on their own to be inclusive, accommodating, and flexible in their play? Sorry you don’t like the way he described how little boys feel about playing with girls, but this hardly makes him a “douche,” “asshole” or any of the other hateful things people in this thread are…
There are a lot of issues regarding class, crime, safe neighborhoods and resources that are completely valid. None of them demand that you de-legitimize Mike Lanza and his work. How about directing some of the cruelty and venom towards this guy into something more productive? In particular, all you who feel free to…
